What We Do
zebulonUSA.com sells ONLY items made in the USA. Current product lines include: Apparel, Bags and Luggage, and Toys and Games. As you help us grow our business we will add additional product lines such as: Home and Garden (Bed and Bath, Furniture, Kitchen, Outdoor Accessories), Sporting Goods, Tools, and a Miscellaneous section. If enough interest warrants, we even hope to include for sale American-made television sets. Please let us know about any products you believe strongly enough in to recommend or let us know of items you would like to be able to purchase from us.

How It Started
As a long-time employee in the manufacturing industry, I saw many co-workers lose their jobs due to down-sizing. I wondered why this had to be as I didn't notice a corresponding down-sizing in purchasing in my neighborhood or around town. I came to the conclusion that it was because Americans were not purchasing American made items. It seemed American jobs would not need to be down-sized if more of us would purchase American Made products. It was then that I decided I would make the effort to purchase items made in the USA whenever possible. This decision quickly grew into a passion.

The decision also quickly grew frustrating. I learned there were no well-known sources selling a wide variety of "Made in USA" goods. Thankfully, the internet allows access to many American made products that are not readily available at local retail outlets. However, such items typically need to be purchased directly from the manufacturer: pants from a pant supplier, shirts from a shirt supplier. I thought it would be easier to Buy American if it could be done from one convenient source. I also had many conversations with others who stated they would purchase American Made items, if only they could find them more easily.

The inspiration to start zebulonUSA.com grew from this realization that more American Made goods would be sold if they were made readily available to those interested in purchasing them. It is our goal to be a convenient one-stop resource selling only goods made in the USA.

The Name/Logo
As the company sells only American made items, it was felt the name should have some relevance to American history. It only seemed proper to name the company after an American explorer as the search for American made products has become so difficult, almost like an exploration and discovery process in itself. Zebulon Pike fit the bill perfectly and the name "Zebulon" grew on us.

The explorer/exploration concept also was fittingly adapted to our by-line "Discovering and Selling American made products". Further, Zebulon Pike discovered Pikes Peak from which Katherine Lee Bates wrote America the Beautiful. Her line "… from sea to shining sea" was fitting to add to the by-line to show our national product line and market.

To wrap it all together, zebulonUSA.com's favored products (those most worthy of special promotion) are labeled a "Pikes Pick" as is our newsletter, a take-off of Pike's Peak of course.
